After months of planning, the Victoria Park master plan has been placed on public exhibition.
It includes an adventure playground, a multipurpose building and terrace seating for Prell Oval with new access road, a multipurpose building at Seiffert Oval, ornamental garden, central garden and sculpture, toddlers playground and bike circuit, picnic areas, dog park, central ponds and more.
Separately, a working party is also investigating an improved sports stadium for the area, but not the $10 million version previously floated.
Under the masterplan, Seiffert would be used for cricket and cycling. The new onsite building could include change rooms, storage and a community room.
Prell Oval would also be used for cricket and AFL.
At a recent briefing session, councillors suggested removing the old bowling green and wanted the tennis courts retained.
The Victoria Park overhaul is designed to provide links to the redeveloped Aquatic Centre.
