The passenger was identified as the 25-year-old escapee.
Two women who were also in the vehicle have too been arrested.
They have been taken to local police stations where they are assisting with inquiries.
How the Post reported the search:
2.00PM: Police are now seeking the driver of a black Holden commodore, believed to be involved in the escape of a Goulburn Jail inmate..
"We are now releasing detail of the vehicle that may be involved and are asking anyone with information to assist," Hume LAC Acting Commander Superintendent Chad Gillies said.
The vehicle of interest has been confirmed as a black Holden commodore SS sedan, VE model (2008-2012).
It was spotted in the area around 10am Wednesday, the time of Wiles' escape.
"We believe the person driving that vehicle might be able to assist us in inquiries," Acting Supt. Gillies said.
Hume LAC police will this afternoon continue to search for the escapee. They have moved into an investigative phase, targeting persons and locations Beau Wiles is known to frequent.
State Crime Command are also assisting local detectives to investigate the escape and locate the escapee to return him to custody.
10.20AM: Corrective Services Minister David Elliott has spoken on radio this morning.
He revealed a car was waiting to collect the 25-year-old Correctional Centre inmate, as he made his getaway on Wednesday morning.

8.40AM: The morning after a minimum security inmate fled Goulburn Jail, Police are yet to issue updates.
Reflecting on yesterday's coverage, the manner of how the inmate managed to escape the prison is yet to be revealed.
Anyone with information on Wiles' whereabouts are urged to contact Triple Zero immediately.
Wednesday
7.40PM: All is quiet around the Goulburn Jail tonight as misty rain sets in. No official updates on the search for the minimum security inmate have been issued by Police.
On the man's public Facebook, a second woman has pleaded with the 25-year-old to turn himself in to Police.
"... get into a cop shop and hand yourself in. They can protect you," she wrote at 6:30pm.
6.50PM: Reports are circulating that the man may have made contact with his step-father today, who has offered to meet him and take him to police station. Police are yet to confirm.
5.30PM - Prison escapee still at large: NSW Police and Corrective Services will continue searching into the night for a minimum security Goulburn Jail inmate who escaped on Wednesday morning.
Almost eight hours after the alarm was first raised, it is still unknown just how the 25-year-old inmate managed to flee the prison.
At 3pm Wednesday, acting Hume LAC Commander Superintendent Chad Gillies said Police were still unsure as to whether the man was hiding in town or had left the region.
He was last seen at a work area outside the minimum security section within the Goulburn Correctional Complex, just before 10am.
He was serving an 18-month sentence for shoplifting and driving with a disqualified licence. His 12-month non-parole period was due to expire in July 2016.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, around 180cm tall and 100kg in weight. He has tattoos on his lower forearms and was last seen wearing a green prison uniform.
Police are warning the public not to approach if they see him, but to instead contact Triple Zero immediately.
The incident marks the second escape in two months from the prison. On August 18, armed bandit Stephen Jamieson allegedly escaped maximum security using just a pillow, a mop handle and a rope made of bed sheets.
He was on the run for 12 hours before he was recaptured by police, following a pursuit on the Hume Highway.

Earlier coverage
5PM: Goulburn Mulwaree Mayor Geoff Kettle has been receiving hourly updates from NSW Police on the search for a Goulburn Jail escapee.
Cr Kettle told the Post shortly before 5pm that he had "complete faith" in both Corrective Services and the police.
"The Goulburn community have lived with the maximum security jail for years and it's not the norm, so obviously there is a problem at the jail that will need to be addressed," Cr Kettle said.
"I would hope on behalf of the Goulburn Mulwaree community that Correctional Services address this.
"I have spoken with the Deputy Commissioner of Corrective Services today expressing my concern that this has happened twice in two months."
4PM: Goulburn Mulwaree Councillor Robin Saville has issued a statement, questioning the state government on their jail security practices.
Cr Saville called on the mayor, Geoff Kettle, to "telephone the Premier and demand answers".
"Are escapes to become a regular feature of life in Goulburn?" he asked.
Meantime, NSW Opposition Leader Luke Foley on Wednesday afternoon took aim at NSW Corrective Services Minister David Elliott.

"Corrective Services Minister David Elliott is single-handedly solving the overcrowding crisis in NSW prisons by letting inmates stroll out the front gate," Mr Foley said.
"Under Elliott’s watch, inmates even have the luxury of bragging about their escape plans on Facebook. It’d be laughable if it wasn’t so serious.
"The Baird Government continues to ignore its own Full House report which has shown a system on its knees with budget constraints having a huge impact on the ability of officers to supervise correctly.
"Five prison breaks this year alone while the Corrective Services Minister turns a blind eye – that’s just not good enough."
Speaking to reporters at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, Mr Foley asked what Mr Elliott was doing to, "ensure a fourth prison escape won't become a fifth and a sixth and a seventh on his watch".

The woman urged him hand himself to the police, saying, "please hand ur (sic) self in to police now its (sic) only jail".
The search for the escaped Goulburn Jail inmate is still ongoing, Acting Hume LAC Commander Superintendent Chad Gillies told the Post shortly after 3pm.
He said Police were still unsure as to whether he was hiding in town or had left the region.
When asked if Police had made contact with the man's girlfriend, Mr Gillies said Police were "following all leads", but could not give details.
It was revealed on Wednesday morning that the inmate had been sending messages and posting to a personal Facebook account while behind bars.
'Love u my my princess (sic),' he wrote on Facebook on September 28, alongside photos of himself posing in red underwear.
In January 2012, under the alias 'Beaujanglz', he uploaded a rap video called 'Time to rise'.
2.40PM: NSW Opposition Leader Luke Foley is said to be making a statement on the jail escape. More on that as it comes.
2PM: A nearby business owner, who wished to remain anonymous, said he observed minimum security inmates working on tractors in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
He said it had never occurred to him that his personal safety could be at risk in working in such close proximity to the prison.
"You look across the road and see the big walls and it feels like they are caged in but you do think about it when someone gets out. You realise how close you are."
Police have approached nearby businesses for CCTV access and are looking at all options, including whether the man was picked up from nearby.
1.30PM: More than 15 police personnel from across the Hume Local Area Command have been tasked to the search of the escaped Goulburn Jail inmate.
Acting Hume LAC Commander superintendent Chad Gillies said these include general duties officers and officers from more specialist factions of the force.
"We have assistance from PolAir, they are in the sky assisting with the search, and we have local resources from our general duties, our TAG (Target Action Group), our CI (Crime Investigation) and other police from local resources assisting in the search," Acting Supt. Gillies said.
